The year is 1970. A small village in communist Yugoslavia, wakes up one day, to the deafening sound of trucks and tractors. A big airplane landed at a nearby airport of Zagreb, and brought with it a crew of Hollywood stars, their crew, and their equipment. For the next 6 months, the village became a shtetl, the locals became Jews.
4o years later, they still remember the first time they saw a banana, a plastic cutlery, make-up…and are still as welcoming as always. Due to its excellent location – only 20 minutes drive from Zagreb airport, and 45 minutes drive from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, Anatevka is once again welcoming visitors.
